This restaurant has the best Chinese food. It's a great space if you want a big family dinner . The food is always hot and fresh . You can tell all of there oils are fresh and the are very much clean . The food is always fast when I come and there is never much of a wait for seating .
My African American review , they do horrible with our community at times ... repeating-prices after ordering so many dishes . Asking repeatedly if your sure about s*** you just ordered . When I've come with multiple people of color it's not the best feel , it's very uncomfortable because I'm repeatedly being told how much something cost ( like I've gotten my total while still ordering things ) at times to-go seems better than sitting here . And one of the reasons I still come here is because when they do things that they may not recognize as incorrect I CORRECT THEM . Because we all need to learn . I pay and always tip because the food is good . But I also don't let nothing slide . -

Yessssss. Zien Hong is easily my fave Chinese spot in NE. It's a small place and super good food. I like the salt & pepper calamari or shrimp. The various noodles are good too. My family likes a variety of dishes and TBH we haven't had anything we don't like.
I only wish they delivered! It's been a wish many customers have had for years, but alas, no delivery.
The staff is super nice, friendly and helpful.
If you haven't been, I highly recommend it. -

We loved this place. Keyword is "loved". Back when Tina and the other staff were here, the food was amazing, and the service was phenomenal. Nowadays, with the new crew I feel like it has taken a step backwards. I remember in the past when we would arrive about 30 minutes before they close and they would still welcome dine in. I can recall some 3 instances where even if we arrive an hour, place is already getting ready to close. So my advice, if you are arriving at 11:00 pm, plan to eat somewhere else. Maybe try luc lac where they're open til 4.
I hope you guys bring back the old crew or at least bring back the old vibe.
The crew for the afternoon is really pleasant though. Samily and Fannie are super awesome! And the food was cooked really well. I guess we'll be coming here during the daytime only from now on. -

My husband had cravings for Chinese and this place was close. They sat us down and brought us hot tea really quick. Gave us a few minutes to order. (Some other places take forever). We order crab puffs and those came out first with a side of sweet and sour sauce, and were really good. We also order the beef Chow main and fried duck. My duck came out a little later than the Chow main, bit it was ok cuz I got to try the other stuff first. The Chow main is tasty and big portion. I just wish I knew the fried duck came just by itself otherwise I would have ordered veggies on the side, the green beans look yummy in the pictures. Overall everything was delicious and good price. We had leftovers for a second meal each so that's a plus. I think they have good deals before 3, so next time I'll get there before 3. The place looks clean and neat, just be careful with the floors cuz they are uneven.

Great place for Chinese food. Portland doesn't have many great Chinese restaurants in general, but this is one of the ones that stands out for sure. A solid choice for late night food as well (which is what we did).
We got the salt and pepper fish, fish maw soup, friend rice, and beef stir fry. All of them were excellent choices. My favorite was the salt and pepper fish, so if you are going to get any of these choices, get that one.
